Expanding the ways The Nursery can provide accommodations for some individual needs

The Nursery Theatre has the following systemic accommodation solutions

• For all of our online training and programming, we use Zoom's Live Transcript to provide machine automated closed captioning transcription.
• Programming to support affinity group communities
• The Jason Chin Improv Bursary and 50%/25% fee reductions for equity-seeking individuals

Non-screen based accommodations

In 2021, we piloted audio-only workshop and drop-in offerings as a way to accommodate the need to engage without being on screen. We will continue to explore audio-only jams as a means to better understand and train for this accessibility need.

Additionally, we look to provide training to facilitators before they lead an audio-friendly sessions, solve for gaps and oversights in workshop exercises, and to connect with more experts in the field and community members
