The Nursery Theatre needs more assistance than it can fiscally afford. This volunteer policy is an attempt to capture the responsibilities (types of work effort). supports for the volunteer, and potential artistic pathways and skills that The Nursery will try to help you achieve through this work effort engagement.
During COVID-19, The Nursery Theatre is only operating online. Our programming content is either in a closed Zoom room, or from Zoom to a live stream on our social media platforms
As needed, The Nursery will post a request for more volunteers from our global improv community through social media blog. If you are interested in volunteering, you can also contact [email protected].
As a volunteer, you determine how long you want to offer your work effort to assist The Nursery. We ask that you communicate any changes in your commitment so we can adjust our scheduling accordingly.
As part of your commitment to volunteer, you will share your availability with The Nursery staff. We ask that you communicate any changes in your availability so we can adjust our scheduling accordingly.
When volunteers join, they will learn about The Nursery Theatre's Consent Informed Spaces and Code of Conduct, in addition to training for a specific role.
Communication will occur through SLACK with occasional emails unless the volunteer requests other arrangements.

As new programs are developed, volunteers may be requested to help coordinate, host, or run tech. All programs are run virtually (closed stream) unless otherwise noted.
